My Review

4.5 Stars

The beginning of the book is a little confusing, but once I figured out who was who, I fell in love with this book. I fell in love with the "romance" between friends. I say that because this is NOT a romance book, but there is definitely a strong bong and love between the women in this book. The feminist side of me loved every bit of that and the fact that these women were "breaking the rules" for a good cause. The struggles in their lives, the disasters, the triumphs, I felt like I was a part of it all. I found myself begging for this book to be turned into a movie. Good news, it's been pitched! I can't wait to see the film screen adaptation of these #bosswomen !

My Review

Okay, first things first, this book is slightly predictable. It's basically a Hallmark movie in book form. Although you know what's going to happen, this book is still super charming. I love the off-the-wall approach and out-of-the-box setting and storyline. There are definitely some twists and turns, which I appreciated, and there were also some slightly R-rated scenes. 100% do not listen to parts of this book around your kids or at work. Yes, I did both of those things and even though I had headphones in, had to abruptly turn the book off. If you enjoy books like that (I will admit, I do), then you'll enjoy this book. It's extremely detailed.

I Hope You Stay

My Review

This is a poetry book. I feel like you either like them or you don't. I have read some poetry books that I have absolutely loved, but this one was just okay. I liked that it explored love from ending to renewal, and beyond. It is very thought-provoking and emotional, but I didn't feel like the emotions were mine. I felt like I was reading someone else's experiences. If you LOVE poetry, I would recommend this book. If you are new to poetry and looking for something to fall in love with, this is not the book to get started on.
